Comfort & Security

Matthew 8:19-20

And a scribe came up and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

"Our safety and security is not here on this present life."

Fear

Psalm 72:5

May they fear You while the sun endures,

    and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!

"Fear, respect, awe, terrifying, huge, weighty and powerful. God is to be feared, without the wrath there is no possibility of mercy; of grace; of love."

He makes us come alive

Isaiah 26:19

Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise.

    You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy!

For your dew is a dew of light,

    and the earth will give birth to the dead.

The Bible said that we are dead in sin and dead in God. The Gospel said Jesus Christ dealt with sin, He also came to make all things new to unite all things to Him. He came to makes us alive in God, not in our own power to do so.
